HEADWATERS
HOUSE

“The water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
- Jesus

Our Headwaters Story
In 1977, three local families had the vision and passion to start a local church in the small resort town of Big Sky. Since then, BSCF has become a vibrant expression of Christian faith as the only evangelical church in town. BSCF is known for great worship, active bible studies, small groups, young adult ministry and deep love for one another. Our mission is simple, to Passionately Follow Jesus Together. This mission has been there from the very beginning. Much like a spring that creates a headwater for a river, so much has been done upstream of us to reach this point. We also believe that we are a headwater for those to come after us. Like the Gallatin River water reaches those far downstream, we want to provide living water to everyone that we can, water that, “springs up to eternal life.” We believe that The Headwaters House is the next step in this adventure together.
The Vision
We believe that having a pastor and his family living locally here in Big Sky is key for us to continue to be a healthy non-denominational church for the long term. We desire for our church to outlive all of us and to reach others that we could never dream would be reached. We know that God has gifted us greatly toward this calling and that the Headwaters House will be used as a place of ministry for years to come.
The Ripple Effect
Just like a stream has ripples that lead downstream, Big Sky Christian Fellowship is uniquely placed and gifted to have a ripple effect in the lives of so many. Each year we have the chance to impact seasonal employees, seasonal visitors, and full-time locals as we Passionately Follow Jesus Together. The Headwaters House plays an important role in this ripple effect as our pastor lives and works within the community of Big Sky.

Our plan is to build a 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom house for our pastor and his family to live here in Big Sky and be part of the everyday life and community. We hope to finish the project by early 2027. We are grateful to already have a lot in the Ramshorn neighborhood to build upon and are excited to begin work as soon as possible. This will allow us to have a pastor live in Big Sky and serve BSCF in perpetuity.
The Project

Become a Tributary
We’re going to need everyone to make this become a reality. Even the smallest gift can create a ripple effect beyond what you can imagine. Together, we will make sure that Big Sky has a Pastor for our church far into the future. We ask you to prayerfully consider a 3 year commitment to this legacy project and make a pledge.
